The porch of the Maidens:
Also known as Caryatids. They hold up the structure like the columns. They are located on the Southwest side of the Erechtheum.
The Parthenon:
The Parthenon is a temple of the Doric order with eight columns at the facade. The construction and building of The Parthenon began in 447 B.C. and was finished in 432 B.C. The work began under the orders of Pericles to show the wealth and exuberance of Athenian power. The name of the building most likely came from a cult statue of Athena Parthenos housed in the eastern room of the building. The Acropolis:
The Acropolis hill, so called the "Sacred Rock" of Athens, is the most important site of the city and constitutes one of the most recognizable monuments of the world. The Acropolis is a home to many statues.
